Last month I took a walk down to Glenrothes Town Park, mainly to try to capture some of the Autumn colours in the trees and bushes. But I also wanted to try and take some slightly more unusual shots, and the photos below are from the play park area.

My favorite is the bouncy swing with the orange bars. It is so nice to see your photos. Reminds me of my childhood park. These days they have decided to install mostly plastic play structures for the children.

Thank you Laura đŸ™‚ Like you, the ‘bouncy’ swing bars in one of my favourites. And I totally agree with you about some parks, the kids often don’t really have much to play on đŸ˜¦

I like the last pic the best, Andy – it looks like a wormhole in spacetime and I would love to have a go at sliding down it! đŸ˜€ But the first one is excellent too.

Thanks Jo đŸ™‚ I like the idea of a wormhole in the spacetime continuum, very Dr Who ish!! You could slide down it back to being a child again đŸ™‚

Thank you Joy đŸ™‚ I’m quite surprised by how popular the last photo is. I like the way the first photo turned out, you would think the slide had been polished!!

I love the first photo in monochrome and the final photo best. I guess I am drawn to circles. Or maybe I just like tube slides.

Many people like the tubular slide shots, and so do I, but I also like the slide frame – I don’t think I would have any idea what that was if it wasn’t captioned!

Thanks Anabel đŸ™‚ I’ve been surprised by how many people like the tubular slide photos, so it’s nice to find someone liking one of the others!

You certainly have the skill to make everyday objects appear like something quite different. You’ve captured all of from really interesting angles and made great use of light and shadow. I do like the last one a lot, but I also like the one captioned Glenrothes Town Park Slide – Abstract.

Thanks Millie đŸ™‚ I try to look at things in a way that many people don’t. Mind you, it does mean that often I get some strange looks!! LOL! đŸ™‚

I can imagine that .. Putting yourself in peculiar positions to get those unusual views must arouse a great deal of interest. You’ll be having people photographing you taking photographs. Still, it’s worth scrambling about to get photos like yours! đŸ™‚
