Late Autumn Colours at Balbirnie Park

As part of this weeks Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge : Orange & Green, I’ve posted eight more photos taken from Balbirnie Park, near Glenrothes. The photographs were all taken just after dawn, at the beginning of this month, on a day which started quite misty (well foggy very first thing – see last photo), but gradually turned sunny.

This last photo doesn’t fit in with the theme of ‘orange & green’, but does show how foggy it was first thing 🙂

  1. Thanks. With no deciduous trees on the island seeing the autumn colours is much appreciated. I particularly liked the early morning mist, but thanks for them all.

    • Thank you for the kind comments Ursula (or Alan). I know what you mean about the lack of deciduous trees, having lived in West Cornwall for a long time, it makes me extra appreciative of the Autumn colours 🙂 And Tiree is a more extreme version of that, and from what I’ve seen from your blog, just as beautiful 🙂

  3. A lovley post, Andy – your photos are wonderful. I see what you mean about fog rather than mist in that last photo. The autumn colours in the other photos are stll beautifully vivid – so different to around here. There was no colour left on the tree in our lanes when I was out this morning. A couple of days of gales followed by two days of hard frosts got rid of what was left on the trees. It llooks so bleak and bare now. 🙂
