In response to “Cee’s Compose Yourself Photo Challenge – Horizontal Line and Horizons“, I’ve enclosed six photos taken over the last few months in and around Fife.
The first photo is of an incoming tide on the Firth of Forth, at Blackness Castle in West Lothian.
The next two photos are taken from North Queensferry in Fife, on the northern shores of the Firth of Forth. They show the horizontal horizon/sea junction, but the Forth Rail Bridge is at an angle.
The fourth and fifth photos were taken at Kirkforthar, near Glenrothes, the day of a huge storm.
The final photograph was taken from Seafield CastleĀ Beach in Kirkcaldy, looking towards West Wemyss. It is quite a top heavy photo, the horizon should be further up the photo, but the foreground was unappealing, and the clouds were amazing.
Wow, I love them all but the storm is lovely and this last one of the sky! wow

Thanks Lynz š The storm was amazing to watch as it approached (thankfully quite slowly), I was a few miles from the car at the time, and I didn’t want the camera to get wet!!

I like the low horizon with the amazing clouds. I’ve done some like this myself and I like how the emphasis changes.

Thanks Janet š I know what you mean about the emphasis on the clouds, I just feel that the bit of sea/land at the bottom looks like it’s there as an afterthought – but I guess you’re right, plenty of people seem to like it š

Thank you Lorna š The sky was nice in the last photo, but I wasn’t happy about the overall picture. To me, the bit of sea/land at the very bottom looked silly š¦

I especially love the wheat field. What striking colours! Of course the iconic Forth Bridge is fantastic too. So photogenic. It seems to smile š

Thanks Diana š The wheat field did come out nicely, I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time š And you just can’t go wrong with the bridge!!!
